Why Insect?

I had taken pictures of many different subjects, including beautiful natural landscape, great buildings with their unique architectural design, cityscape, interesting people from different part of the world, other larger animals, but at the end I become more interested in taking picture of insect. Why?

There are some reasons: [1] insects are not only beautiful but also amazingly rich in diversity of shape, size, color, and texture; [2] some small insects are even more amazing when they are magnified, captured with macro lens; [3] insect behavior is also very interesting to watch and, of course, it would be nice to share it with others, either in still photo or video. However, I personally, prefer in form of still photos.

Most of insect photos, that I share with you in this blog, were captured alive at their natural habitat. Therefor, I am not only trying to show their beauty but also trying to give idea on where they live and how they interact with their surroundings.
